Connect with Godfirst

True community where it exists at all today is fragmented. We live in houses where we hardly know our neighbours, our places of work and our work colleagues are often stretched miles across the city. We travel behind metal and glass. Even in churches, regardless of their size, relationships can be no more that a nod or a brief hello. This is not God’s plan for community; all of us were created for loving, authentic, supportive and hope-filled community life.

Before any thought of buildings, worship bands, and weekly programmes Godfirst Church is first a growing community that you connect with, a place where you belong, a place where you know and are known, love and are loved, celebrate and are celebrated, a safe place where together we pursue God and so find ourselves and one-another.

Sundays in September - 10:30am @ Hesters Way Community Centre

As the Godfirst launch community moves to meeting on Sunday mornings, we gather as those first disciples did to passionately honour the risen Jesus, understanding that the resurrection of Jesus on that first Easter Sunday morning was not merely an event in human history but the breaking in of God's new creation that changed everything, for everyone, for all eternity!

Although we believe those that visit Godfirst will find much in our worship, teaching, kids work and friendships to experience and inspire, we also want people to understand that Godfirst is not a church meeting to attend but a Gospel community to connect and contribute too. We are not yet what we will become and so we encourage those who join us to see with the eyes of faith how they might play their part in the Godfirst community that we believe God is crafting.

Our kids workers aim to create a safe and stimulating environment for our nursery and primary aged children. We operate a child protection policy and all volunteers are CRB checked.
